Cash
Gifts can be made by cash, check or credit card.
Bequests
Many of our supporters make charitable gifts by naming Glencroft as a beneficiary in their wills.
Investment assets
Stocks and bonds, retirement funds, real estate and other property can be given. If they have grown in value, you are able to make a larger donation at less cost to you and have a tax benefit.
Life insurance
Gifts of life insurance are a great way to leverage your giving. Donate paid-up life insurance policies with cash values, or new policies, with the Friendship Foundation at Glencroft named as the owner and the beneficiary. Some of our supporters no longer need their life insurance policy (purchased years ago to provide for children or other family members), and donate the policy to the Foundation.
Gifts of securities
Securities, both publicly traded and closely held, and bonds can be used to make a gift to Glencroft. A donor is entitled to charitable tax deduction equal to the value of the securities on the date of the gift. Glencroft is able to sell the securities and use the proceeds, without reduction by capital gains taxes because of the Friendship Foundation’s status as a nonprofit organization.
Corporate gift
If you are an owner or CEO of a business, you might consider making a corporate gift through which you may derive federal tax benefits as well as additional benefits.
Corporate matching gifts
Some corporations provide a matching amount for an employee contribution. If your
Company provides this benefit, it is a great way to increase your donation. To find out if your company or spouse’s company offers a matching gift program, contact the company’s human resources office.
Arizona tax credit
Did you know that every taxpayer in Arizona can give up to $200 to our organization and receive a tax credit for the full amount of the donation? This Arizona statute allows you to support registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations in this manner. Friendship Foundation, Inc., the philanthropic arm of Glencroft, is a registered organization. Please make your check payable to the Glencroft Benevolent Fund. You will receive a form to use when filing your income taxes.
Please contact us to make a gift in any of these eight ways. We would be happy to assist you.
We encourage you to consult your financial advisor or attorney before selecting any of these plans.
Thank you for your interest and support.
