Memory Care

Glencroft has been a leader in providing nursing home care for individuals with dementia.  The Joshua Tree is a specialized unit within our Care Center which provides 24-hour skilled care for individuals with moderate dementia.  These residents are capable of participating in their own care and benefit from a highly active and social setting.  The Purple Sage unit, also located in the Care Center, provides individual palliative care for later stage dementia residents.  Our priority is the physical and emotional comfort of each resident.

 

Sarah’s Place is Glencroft’s newest Assisted Living Program dedicated to those persons with memory loss.  Scheduled to open in 2012, Sarah’s Place is licensed for Directed Care and will offer appropriate socialization and activities in a home-like atmosphere.  Activities at Sarah’s Place will be designed to support and enhance the capabilities of the residents living there and include simple homemaking, crafts, gardening and recreational activities.  Our caregivers to resident ratios are designed to promote trusting relationships as well as ensure that each resident can age in place for as long as possible.  Sarah’s Place is an exciting addition to the continuum of care that exists for those persons who call Glencroft home.
