GLENDALE, Ariz. (July 7, 2020) — Thunderbird Charities donated $6,000 to the Friendship Foundation to purchase vital medical equipment for residents impacted by COVID-19 at the Glencroft Center for Modern Aging, a continuing care retirement community in Glendale, Ariz.
“This contribution supports our mission to assist children and families, help people in need, and improve quality of life,” said Cheryl Ruggiero, grants manager for Thunderbirds Charities. “We are honored to support seniors living at the Glencroft Center for Modern Aging.”
Thunderbirds Charities is a nonprofit organization formed to distribute funds raised through the Waste Management Phoenix Open golf tournament, to benefit Arizona-based organizations.
Friendship Foundation is a philanthropic arm of Friendship Retirement Corp., the parent agency for the Glencroft Center for Modern Aging. The Foundation provides assistance, transportation, and support for programs and projects that empower seniors living at Glencroft.
