Glencroft Center for Modern Aging is a change agent in the senior living industry. It is “powered by ZoeLife,” infusing a healthy, positive, and warm energy to the campus and all who live here.  Glencroft offers a continuum of care from independent living to assisted living, long-term, and memory care.

Providence Place is the skilled nursing arm of Glencroft. Residents who require dementia support, rehabilitation, or complex clinical care can enjoy a home-like environment within a secure setting under the experienced care of a compassionate healthcare team.  Providence Place offers several specialized care units to address various levels of required care for residents with more intensive care needs.

Although Providence Place is licensed to accommodate 225 patients, Glencroft intentionally reduced patient headcount, investing more in residents’ quality of life. This involved converting many shared or semi-private rooms into large private rooms, dropping capacity at Providence Place from 225 to 147.

“Primrose Lane,” a sub-unit of Providence Place, was the first of several recent renovations completed at Glencroft. Residents of Primrose Lane are diagnosed with some form of dementia, as well as one or more secondary diagnoses, such as heart or kidney issues. These memory care patients are not at risk for “wandering,” but they do require more complex skilled nursing care.

Glencroft’s conversion to private rooms nearly doubled the dedicated living space for each patient. Rooms are updated with a contemporary-yet-cozy feel. Residents and their families are able to add their own touches, including personal dressers, tables, and seating. They may also hang art, photos, curtains, or décor so the resident may feel even more at home.

Spacious private rooms provide residents of Primrose Lane with the comforts of home.

“We are committed to creating an environment that helps our residents to feel comfortable and safe,” said Chief Strategy Officer Scott McClintock, who oversees operations at Providence Place. “By providing a larger, private living space, residents are empowered to have the best day possible, each and every day at Glencroft.”

Similar updates were made to “Purple Sage” and “Senita,” two additional memory care sections of Providence Place. Joshua Tree, the arm devoted to caring for patients with global cognitive impairment (GCI), will be the latest to receive Glencroft’s extreme makeover, reopening in Spring 2021.
